Who is TUfast Eco?
TUfast Eco is a student club that builds highly efficent electric prtotoype vehicles and takes part in international efficiency competitions such as the Shell Eco Marathon.
The World Record
After successfully completing a season, where we built the prototype only as a group of students, in October 2022 we decided to attempt breaking the Guinness World Record for the “Greatest distance by electric vehicle, single charge (non-solar)”!
Our vehicle muc022 achieved an outstanding 2,573.79 km with a single battery charge and thereby broke the existing world record of 1,608.54 km.
The TUfast Eco Team is now officially a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ RECORD HOLDER.
What did I do there?
Throughout the season of 2022, I was the Head of Management & PR and working alongside the engineers building the car.
In the World Record Attempt, I was part of the 11 person core team. I was mainly responsible for communication & organisation, where we arranged a location at the Munich Airport for 4 days straight, where we could drive day & night indoors. I arranged everthing from arranging location, sponsorships, marketing, event material, budget planning, recording evidence of the attempt, arranging independent observers to being the contact person for the Guinness World Record judge. I was also one of the drivers.
